Chronogram Video

Star Guitar by Chemical Brothers

the making of star guitar...

The music video, directed by Michel Gondry, features a continuous shot filmed from the window of a speeding train passing through towns and countryside; however, the buildings and objects passing by appear exactly in time with the various beats and musical elements of the track. The video is based on DV footage Gondry shot while on vacation in France; the train ride between Nîmes and Valence was shot ten different times during the day to get different light gradients. The Pont du Robinet as well as Pierrelatte's station can be seen. Gondry had experimented with a different version of the same effect in his video for Daft Punk's "Around the World", where he had represented each element of the music with a dancer.
Gondry actually plotted out the synchronization of the song on graph paper before creating the video, eventually "modelling" the scenery with oranges, forks, tapes, books, glasses and tennis shoes.

an inspirational video...

Ferrofluid Artwork

As my friends may tell you, i love to take photos of ferrofluid thats repsonds to a maganetic force. i find these images very hypnotic and mysterious to the eye. the reason i do these is to enable a represenation of space that is created by a current and movement.

the images vary in styles due to how close the magnet is to the ferrofluid. the closer the magnet, the tighter the "spikes" are. the further away, the images are loose and fluid.

Sculpting a pitch...

My previous works....

It involved a pitch that has been sculpted by the amount of contact in relation from the players navigating through a game. The game in question was when west ham beat Liverpool 3-1 at upton park....

Beyond the regulated pitch markings

Sao Paulo's misshapen football fields   <<<< click here to see more

It's amazing to think that people who love the game are able to make the most of the space that they are given. I football we are known for playing by regulated dimensions, but the fields in São Paulo are defiantly fields I would love to play on.

Level Playing Field?

Pele's "Easy" Tactics

So...This is how you get from one place to the other via Pele's tactics.

EASY!

football is easy, it only one end to the other and  score a goal... right? wrong. the game complies of possesion and aslo a tactic to score. you need to get round teh players using teh space allocated on the pitch.

So it may be easy for Pele... but he had obstacles infront of him, he is simply a legend and how he uses his ability to bypass the opponents to get what he wants. the goal he deserves.

A big final year ahead of me and today is the start.
